Instructions
90/90 Hamstring
Lie on your back, with one leg extended straight out.
With the other leg, bend the hip and knee to 90 degrees. You may brace your leg with your hands if necessary. This will be your starting position.
Extend your leg straight into the air, pausing briefly at the top. Return the leg to the starting position.
Repeat for 10-20 repetitions, and then switch to the other leg.
Ball Leg Curl
Begin on the floor laying on your back with your feet on top of the ball.
Position the ball so that when your legs are extended your ankles are on top of the ball. This will be your starting position.
Raise your hips off of the ground, keeping your weight on the shoulder blades and your feet.
Flex the knees, pulling the ball as close to you as you can, contracting the hamstrings.
After a brief pause, return to the starting position.
Verdict
Both exercises target the hamstrings. 90/90 Hamstring is a beginner exercise using bodyweight, while Ball Leg Curl is beginner and uses exercise ball. Choose 90/90 Hamstring if you have access to bodyweight, or Ball Leg Curl if you prefer exercise ball.
